Raymond Sivret, 92, of Moncton, passed away on Friday June
21, 2024 at the Veterans’ Health Centre. Born in Moncton, he
was the son of the late Joachim and Sophie (Haché)
Sivret.
Raymond was a veteran of the Korean War during which he was a
gunner with Special Forces. Following his retirement with the army, he
worked different jobs leading up to working for Irving as a Burner man
fixing furnaces.
He is survived by four children: Gérald (late
Nancy) of Lakeville, Paul (Régina) of Irishtown, Normand
(Shelley) of Albert Mines, and Roger of Lakeville; 10 grandchildren:
Glenda, Monique, Kimmy, Jocelyn, Amy, Jordan, Chelsey, Nathan, Justin,
and Krista; 11 great-grandchildren: Arthur, Julia, MacKenzie, Hannah,
Liam Caleb, Talia, Chloe, Adison, Blake, and River; as well as several
nieces and nephews. He was the last surviving member of his immediate
family.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by six siblings:
Alfred, George, Gerald, Stella, Bertha, and Geraldine.
In accordance with his wishes, there will be no visitation
and no funeral service at the funeral home. Interment will be at Our
Lady of Calvary cemetery in Dieppe. In memory of Raymond, a
contribution to the Veterans’ Health Centre (65 War Veterans
