Donald Vienneau, 79, of Grand-Barachois, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Thursday June 13, 2024. Born in Haute-Aboujagane, he was the son of the late Henri and Marie-Anna (Boudreau) Vienneau.
He was a carman for Canadian National Railway for 33 years.
He will be missed by his wife, Marguerite; two sons: Raymond (Darlene) and Victor all of Grand-Barachois; four grandchildren: Marco (Erika), Jasmine (Jean), Maxime (Janie), and Corey (Mindy); brothers and sisters: Ivrette Gallant (late Rodolphe) of Grand-Barachois, Jeannine Léger (Roger) of Grande-Digue, Avit (Rachelle) of Grand-Barachois, Hermance Eagle (Kenneth) of Haute-Aboujagane, Auréa Kelly (Bob) of Grand-Barachois, Madeleine Gallant (Lloyd) of Grand-Barachois, Émelie Bourque (Alvin) of Scoudouc, Elsa Léger (Léon) of Grand-Barachois, and Danny (Gracia) of Haute-Aboujagane, as well as several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, 396 Main Street, Shediac, on Sunday June 16 from 2 pm to 4 pm and from 7 pm to 9 pm only. The funeral will be held at the St-Henri-de-Barachois R.C. Church, 1356 route 133, Grand-Barachois on Monday June 17 at 10:30 am.
