Irene Belliveau, 89, of Moncton, passed away on Monday June 3, 2024 at the Pavillon Richard of Faubourg du Mascaret. Born in Moncton, she was the daughter of the late John P. and Viola (Williams) Richard.

Prior to her retirement, she worked at Atlantic Wholesalers for 38 years. Irene and her husband traveled all over Canada and the United States with their friends. She also enjoyed playing bingo.

She is survived by her husband for 69 years, Armand; her daughter-in-law, Jeannine Belliveau of Ottawa, ON; three grandchildren: Mark, Daniel, and Jeffrey; three great-grandchildren: Riley, Jude, and Sadie; three sisters: Jeannette LeBlanc (late Armand), Corinne Babineau (Henri), and Béatrice LeBlanc (late Henri), all of Moncton; two brothers: Alyre (Claudette) of Kingston, ON, and Albert (late Pauline) of Moncton; one sister-in-law, Barbara Richard of Indian Mountain; one brother-in-law, Paul LeBlanc of Irishtown; as well as her nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her son, Francis; one sister, Eva; and three brothers: John, Edgar, and Georges.

The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to the staff of the 5th Floor at The Moncton Hospital and the Pavillon Richard at Faubourg du Mascaret for their wonderful care provided to Irene.

The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, 88 Church Street, Moncton (506-858-1900) on Thursday June 6 from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm only. The funeral mass will be celebrated at Notre-Dame-de-Grâce R.C. Church, 858 Mountain Road, Moncton, on Friday June 7 at 11 am. Interment will be at Our Lady of Calvary cemetery in Dieppe. In memory of Irene, a contribution to the Alzheimer Society or a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated.
