Raymond Roy, 87, of Moncton, passed away on Friday May 31, 2024 at ProTem residence. Born in Saint-Paul, he was the son of the late Albert and Marguerite (Arsenault) Roy.

Prior to his retirement, Raymond worked at National Bank. He was a 3rd degree member of the St-Alphonse-de-Liguori Council of the Knights of Columbus. He was also a dedicated volunteer for over 30 years at Notre-Dame-de-la-Paix church, where he founded the Lotto 104.

He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Cécile (Pelletier); two children: Marilène Roy Landry (Christian) and Philippe Roy, both of Moncton; one sister, Gisèle Laroche (Gilles) of Shediac; two brothers: Émile Roy of Moncton and Jean-Maurice (Marie-Anne Arsenault) of Saint-Paul; two brothers-in-law: Laurent Pelletier (Fleur-Ange Miller) of Laval, QC, and Wilfrid Pelletier (Véronique) of Moncton; as well as his nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by one sister, Rita; and two brothers: Eric and Robert «Bobby»; as well as two infant siblings: Lawrence and Patricia.

The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, 88 Church Street, Moncton (506-858-1900) on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm only. The funeral mass will be celebrated at Notre-Dame-de-la-Paix church, 87 Murphy Avenue, Moncton on Thursday June 6 at 11 am. Interment will be at Our Lady of Calvary cemetery in Dieppe. In memory of Raymond, a contribution to the Alzheimer Society would be appreciated.
