Irène Nowlan, 93, of Manoir Notre-Dame, passed away on Wednesday May 29, 2024 at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont UHC. Born in St-Antoine, she was the daughter of the late Irenée and Régina (Breau) LeBlanc.

She worked as a Supervisor at Woolworth/Woolco for more than 20 years.

She will be sadly missed by her three daughters: Roberta Nowlan-Smith (Vernon) of Beaumont Alberta, Ann LeBlanc (Georges) and Janice McDonald (Brian) both of Dieppe; three sisters: Alice Léger (late Vital) of Moncton, Imelda Jean (late Jacques) of Montreal, and Edmée Arsenault (late Désirée) of St-Antoine; seven grandchildren: Kimberly (Tristan), Jeffrey, Amy (David), Luc (Laura), Christine (Julien), Marc (Julia) and Martin (Melissa); 13 great-grandchildren: Xavier, Atticus, Calvin, Henry, Theodore, Nevaeh, Makahia, Ezekiel, Owen, Maelle, Malex, Louis and Benoit; as well as many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her husband, James "Jim" Nowlan (2023); six sisters: Juliette, Lina, Lucie, Edith, Florence, and Jeannine; three brothers: Eric, Yvon, and Gérard; one special grandson whom she adored, François (2002).

The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, 88 Church Street, Moncton (506-858-1900) from where the funeral service will be celebrated on Monday June 3 at 4 pm. Visiting hours are Monday from 2 pm until time of service. Interment will be at Our Lady of Calvary cemetery in Dieppe.
