Stella Cormier, 93, of Moncton, passed away on Sunday May 5 at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont UHC. Born in Moncton, she was the daughter of the late Ephrem and Alma (Melanson) Gould.

Prior to her retirement, Stella worked for Telescom at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont Hospital.

She is survived by three children: Gisèle Goguen and Charles Cormier (Monique), both of Moncton, and Claire Cormier (Norbert Robichaud) of Dieppe; five grandchildren: Chris, Paul, Michel, Martin, and Alex; five great-grandchildren: Rowan, Stella, Camille, Hugo, and Thomas; two sisters: Jeannette Belliveau (Adrien) of Dieppe and Lucille LeBlanc (late Ulysse) of Moncton; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by one son, Jean-Guy; and two brothers: Roméo and Hector.

The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, 88 Church Street, Moncton (506-858-1900) from where the funeral will be celebrated on Monday May 13 at 4 pm. Visiting hours are Monday from 3 pm until time of funeral. Interment will be at Our Lady of Calvary cemetery in Dieppe. In memory of Stella, a contribution to the CHU Dumont Foundation or the N.B. Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
