Sister Juliette Goguen, ndsc (in religion Sr Marie-Claudia), passed away following a short illness on Sunday May 5, 2024 at the Motherhouse of the Religieuses de Notre-Dame-du-Sacré-Coeur in Moncton. She was 92 years old and in the 72nd year of her religious life. Born in Cocagne, she was the daughter of the late Mathias and Claudia (Goguen) Goguen.
Besides her religious family, she is survived by one brother, Néri (late Imelda), as well as a few nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by three sisters: Yvonne and two infant sisters; and six brothers: Neil, Arthur, Henri, Jean-Baptiste, Léo and Émile.
Sister Juliette will be resting at the Notre-Dame-d’Acadie Pavilion of the Maison-mère des Religieuses Notre-Dame-du-Sacré-Coeur, 125 King Street, Moncton (Godfrey Lane entrance) on Tuesday May 7 from 2 pm to 8:30 pm, with Solemn Vespers at 7 pm. Visitations will start again on Wednesday May 8 from 9 am until the funeral mass. The funeral mass will be celebrated on Wednesday May 8 in the Maison-mère chapel at 10 am. The funeral mass will be streamed live and may be viewed on her obituary at www.frenettefuneralhome.com where condolences may also be sent. Interment will be in Memramcook.
