Yvon Babineau, 86, of Moncton, formerly of Dieppe passed away peacefully on Saturday April 20, 2024 at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont UHC. Born in Dundas, he was the son of the late Edmond and Eugénie (Cormier) Babineau.

Prior to his retirement, Yvon was employed at Ford Canada in Oakville, Ontario.

Yvon is survived by his three children: Brenda, Brian and Bernice; one sister, Cécile Ward of Miscou; one brother, Hervé (Marie) of Moncton; special friend Alexina Gillis; special nephew Gilles who took great care of Yvon as well as many more nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his siblings: Aurèle, Ernest, Alcide, Gérard, Thérèse, Florine, Anita, Léona, Léo and Oscar.

There will be no visitation at the funeral centre. Funeral service will be celebrated at Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, 88 Church Street, Moncton (506-858-1900) on Friday April 26 at 3 pm. Interment will be in Notre-Dame-de-Kent parish cemetery. In Yvon’s memory, a contribution to the donor’s choice would be appreciated.
