Noëlla Poirier, 91, of Moncton and formerly of Notre-Dame, passed away on Saturday April 13, 2024 at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont UHC. Born in Notre-Dame, she was the daughter of the late Georges and Annie (Bourque) Robichaud.

Mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Noëlla loved her family more than anything and made sure to show it every day. She loved music and nothing brought her more joy than singing with her family and friends during their many get-togethers. Noëlla loved to play cards with her sisters and sisters-in-law.

Noëlla touched many lives during her long career as a teacher and as a dedicated volunteer in her community and her parish.

She is survived by her children: Ronald (Tammy) of Miramichi, Paulette LeBlanc (Alvin) of Notre-Dame, Charles (Isabelle LeBlanc) of Grand-Barachois, and Marcel of Moncton; eight grandchildren: André, Annik, Marc-André, Catherine, Marilyn, Craig, Samantha, and Sandrine; two great-grandchildren: Xavier and Maeva; two sisters: Thérèse Bourque of Moncton and Georgina Frenette of Bathurst; as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was predeceased by her husband, René; four sisters: Irène, Florence, Jeanne, and Maria; as well as two brothers: Raymond and Paul.

Noëlla’s family would like to thank the team of the Emergency Department and the staff in Geriatric care at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont UHC for the attention and care provided to their mother.

The funeral mass will be celebrated at Notre-Dame-du-Sacré-Coeur R.C. Church, 3863 route 115, Notre-Dame on Friday April 26 at 3 pm. The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, 88 Church Street, Moncton (506-858-1900) on Thursday April 25 from 2 to 4 pm and at Notre-Dame-de-Kent church slumber room on Friday from 1:30 pm until time of funeral. Interment will be in parish cemetery. In memory of Noëlla, a contribution to the Alzheimer Society would be appreciated.
