Gilberte Ouellette, 83, of Petit-Cap, passed away surrounded by her loving family at the Sackville Memorial Hospital on Wednesday, March 27, 2024. Born in Petit-Cap, she was the daughter of the late Gilbert and Edmée (Jacob) Richard.

She is survived by her two children: Brenda LeBlanc and Richard Ouellette all of Petit-Cap; brothers and sisters: Jeannita Bastarache (Léo-Paul) of Moncton, Joan Labbee and Lola Girouard both of Dieppe, Maria Richard (David LeBlanc) of Cap-Pelé, Yvon (Linda) of Shediac, Raymond (April) of Shemogue, Rodrigue « Dick » (Louise) of California, Bernie (Rose), Huguette Richard and Claude all of Petit-Cap; two grandchildren: Gaston and Naomie Richer; three great grandchildren: Loïc, Maxim and Kayla; two sisters-in-law: Marie « Pixie » of Halifax and Alfreda of Shediac.

She was predeceased by her spouse Laurie (2023), her son André; two sisters: Thérèse and infant Maria; three brothers: Valérie, Rhéal and Bliss.

As per her wishes, there will be no visitation and no funeral service.

In memory of Gilberte, a contribution to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.

Cremation and funeral arrangements are under the direction of Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, Cap-Pelé (506 577-3297).
