Yvonne Gauvin, 77, formerly of Shediac, passed away at her residence at Foyer Notre-Dame du Sacré-Coeur, Dieppe on Wednesday, March 20, 2024. Born in Cap-Pelé, she was the daughter of the late Bedford and Adrienne (Poirier) Duguay.

A homemaker, she enjoyed playing cards, listening to Elvis every day, and watching her daily talk shows. She also loved playing her guitar, singing and dancing.

She is survived by her two daughters: Tina Chater (Tom) of Cambridge ON and Brenda Gauvin (Gilles Cormier) of Grand-Barachois, her granddaughter Nathalie Gauvin and two sisters: Elizabeth Maillet (late Jean-Guy) of Saint-Antoine and Hélène Gauvin (late Valérie Gauvin) of Shediac and as well as several nieces and nephews.

Yvonne was predeceased by three brothers: Alexandre, Leandre and Antoine.

The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, 396 Main Street, Shediac from where a chapel service will be held on Tuesday, March 26 at 4 pm. Visiting hours are from 2 pm to time of service.

In memory of Yvonne, a contribution to a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated.
