Simonne LeBlanc, 97, of Shediac, passed away on Friday March 15, 2024, at Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont. Born in Grand-Barachois, she was the daughter of the late Raymond and Marie (Babineau) Boudreau.

Prior to her retirement, Simonne had worked at Paturel. A former member of the Club d'âge d'Or de Grand-Barachois, she enjoyed playing cards, quilting and travelling.

She will be sadly missed by four daughters: Rose-Marie Landry (Victor) of Mount Albert, ON, Annette Ouellette (Jean-Guy) of Petit-Cap, Yvette Lirette (Ray) of Mount Albert, ON and Diane Boudreau (Michel) of Grand-Barachois; one daughter in-law, Louise LeBlanc (late Paul-Émile); seven grandchildren: Benoit, Fabien, Stéphane, Renelle, Denis, Pierre, and Michel; three great-grandchildren: Sébastien, Simon, and Sophie; six sisters: Stella Boudreau (late Jean-Loup), Béatrice Bourque (George), Andréa Boudreau, and Louise Dupuis (Jean-Paul) all of Shediac, Jeanne Cormier of Grand-Barachois, and Rose Rockwell (Jerry) of Halifax, NS; two brothers: Roméo (Marie-Jeanne) of Shediac and Normand (Évelyne) of Riverview; one sister in-law, Simonne Boudreau of Petit-Cap, and several nephews and nieces.

She was predeceased by her husband, Alcide (2010); three sons: Donald, Paul-Emile, and Francis; three sisters: Gloria, Lorraine, and Bernice; three brothers: Ronald, Donald, and Alfred.

The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, 396 Main Street, Shediac on Thursday March 21 from 2 pm to 4 pm only. The funeral will be held in St-Henri de Barachois R. C. church, 1356 route 133, Grand-Barachois on Friday March 22 at 10:30 am. Interment will be in St-Henri-de-Barachois parish cemetery, Grand-Barachois.
