Marguerite Bourque,
82, of Moncton and formerly of Portage passed away peacefully
surrounded by her family at the Ocean Hall Foyer, on Monday, March 11,
2024. Born in Saint-André-Leblanc, she was the daughter of
the late Dosithée and Annie (Bourque)
Richard.
She is survived by her
loving husband of 60 years, Clarence; a daughter Patricia
Bourque-Chevarie (Donald) of Shediac; a son, Roland (Gwen Geldart) of
Shediac; two sisters: Antoinette Doiron (Normand) of
Cap-Pelé and Juliette Richard of Moncton; three
grandchildren: Jonathan (Dani), Stéphanie (Tyler), and
Pierre; a great-grandson, Isaac, as well as several nieces and
nephews.
She was predeceased by
a brother, Alfred "Freddie".
Marguerite was a
special mother, an extraordinary grandmother and a precious
great-grandmother. She was an avid card and radio bingo player.
Traveling was one of her favorite pastimes. She loved spending winters
in the sun in Florida with her husband.
Marguerite's family
would like to express their sincere gratitude to the staff at Foyer
Ocean Hall for their exceptional care. You gave Marguerite a place
where she felt at home and that she loved and where she was
loved.
The family will
receive condolences at the Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, 396
Main Street, Shediac on Monday, March 18 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
and Tuesday, March 19 from 1:45 p.m. to 2:45 p.m. The funeral will be
celebrated on Tuesday, March 19 at 3 p.m. at the Frenette Funeral
Center. Internment will be at the Frenette Columbarium in
Shediac.
In memory of
Marguerite, a donation to the Parkinson Foundation Canada, the
Canadian Heart & Stroke Foundation or the Courage Center would
be appreciated.
Cremation and funeral arrangements are
under the direction of Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, Shediac
