Alma Leger, 101, of Résidence O Bon Soins, Shediac and formerly of Grand-Barachois, passed away on Wednesday February 21, 2024, at her residence. Born in Robichaud, she was the daughter of the late Louis and Agnes (Bourque) Gallant.

She was a former member of the Club d’âge d’Or of Grand-Barachois.

She will be sadly missed by a daughter, Léontine Leger (Jean-Charles Comeau) of Notre-Dame; four sons: Bernard (late Albertine) of Shediac, Léon (Elsa), Michel (Rachelle), and Edgar (Martine) all of Grand-Barachois; two sisters: Tilda Robichaud (late Ronaldo), Imelda Landry (late Clorice) all of Shediac, a sister-in-law Andréa Gallant of Shediac, 10 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, and several nephews and nieces..

She was predeceased by her husband, Gérard Leger (1990); three sisters: Laura Cormier, Maria LeBlanc, and Alvina Boudreau; five brothers: Walter, Ernest, Clarisse, Laurie, and Emery.

The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, 396 Main Street, Shediac on Monday, February 26 from 2 pm to 4 pm and from 7 pm to 9 pm only. The funeral will be held in St-Henri de Barachois R. C. church, 1356 route 133, Grand-Barachois on Tuesday, February 27 at 10:30 am.

Interment will be in St-Henri-de-Barachois parish cemetery, Grand-Barachois.
