Denis Richard, 98, formerly of Shediac, passed away on Friday February 16, 2024 at the Villa du Repos in Moncton. Born in Saint-Paul, he was the son of the late Fidèle and Odélie (Girouard) Richard.

He is survived by two sisters: Ida Bourque (Alcide) of Cocagne and Maria LeBlanc (Armand) of Moncton; as well as several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his wife, Rita Poirier (1982); two sisters: Alice and Bertha; and two brothers: Leonide and Roger.

The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, 88 Church Street, Moncton (506-858-1900) where the funeral service will be celebrated on Wednesday February 21, at 11 am. Visiting hours are Wednesday from 9:30 am until time of funeral. Interment will be in Saint-Joseph R.C. cemetery in Shediac . In memory of Denis, a contribution to the Saint-Joseph parish in Shediac would be appreciated.
