Majella Richard, 72, passed away peacefully at the Moncton Hospital on Thursday, February 1, 2024. Born in Petit-Cap, NB, she was the daughter of the late Adolphe and Elise (Melanson) Jacob.

She is survived by her children: Monique Cormier (Mario) of Cap-Pelé and Jacques Richard of Moncton; three grandchildren: Ghislain (Dominique), Karine (Luc), and Jessica (Rob); a great-granddaughter, Olivia; two sisters: Léa Cormier (Jean-Guy) and Sylvia Boudreau (Maurice) of Shediac; six brothers: Omer Jacob (Norma) of Cap-Pelé, Gilles Jacob, Elmo Jacob (Jeannette), Aris Jacob (Annette) all of Petit-Cap, François Jacob of Moncton, and Melvin Jacob (Debbie) of Shediac, as well as many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a sister, Noëlla and three brothers: Roméo, Roger and little brother, Adolphe.

There will be no visitation and no funeral. Interment will be in the Saint-Timothée cemetery, Shemogue. In Majella's memory, donations to the Cap-Pelé Knights of Columbus lunch box or to the Shemogue cemetery would be appreciated.
