Jacqueline Léger, 72, of Grand-Barachois, passed away on Wednesday January 24, 2024 at The Moncton Hospital. Born in Moncton, she was the daughter of the late Edmond and Rita (Maillet) Babin.

Jacqueline had a passion for quilting, travel and nursing. She worked as an RN for various hospitals before starting her clinical instructor position at the Université de Moncton. If she was not found gardening or golfing, she could be found on an adventure with family and friends.

She is survived by her husband for 51 years, Terrence "Terry"; three children: Joceline Léger (Sébastien Talbot) of Sainte-Adèle, QC, Mélanie McPherson (Ryan) of Rothesay, and Marc (Aimée Eluik) of Grand Prairie, AB; two grandchildren: Denis-Alexandre and Marc-Antoine; six siblings: Paulette Snow (Chris) of Quispamsis, Gisèle Maillet (Guy) of Grand-Barachois, Denise Wynberg (Peter) and Aldéric "Ricky" (Bernadette), both of Moncton, Charles of Irishtown, and Maurice "Moe" of Notre-Dame; as well as several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, 88 Church Street, Moncton (506-858-1900) where the funeral service will be celebrated on Tuesday, January 30, at 10:30 am.  Visiting hours are Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm only.  In memory of Jacqueline, a contribution to the Friends of The Moncton Hospital Foundation (palliative) (www.friendsfoundation.ca/506-857-5488) or the Beauséjour Family Crisis Resource Centre in Shediac (www.healingstartshere.ca/506-533-9100) would be appreciated.
