In loving memory of Allain Boudreau, 67, of
Grand-Barachois, who peacefully passed away on Wednesday, January 24,
2024. Allain was the son of Laurida (Leblanc) Boudreau and
the late Ola Boudreau also of
Grand-Barachois.
Allain was a highly esteemed member of his community
and a dedicated entrepreneur. He spent over 40 years in the
construction industry, co-owning a successful contracting company with
his brother and managing his own Al's Marine store. Though a
businessman and a carpenter by trade, his
true passion was fishing. He was at his happiest behind the wheel of
his boat sailing the seas. His commitment to the Harbor Authority of
Robichaud and his tireless efforts in wharf restoration reflected his
love for the community.
Beyond his professional achievements, Allain's work
ethic, jovial spirit, and generous nature made him a beacon of
inspiration. Known for his quick wit and playful teasing, he shared
laughter and knowledge with all who crossed his path. People
would say he was the most genuine and authentic person you could ever
meet.
Family always held the utmost importance for Allain.
His beloved wife, Joanne, and their children and grandchildren were
his cherished treasures. Together, they explored the world, enjoyed
family trips, and embraced life's adventures. Allain's love for his
soul mate and his infectious "joie de vivre" will forever
echo in the hearts of friends and family.
Allain was not only a man of business. He loved music,
listening to his favorite oldies and playing guitar to relax
but also to have a good time with friends. Additionally, he embraced
the thrill of skiing, making annual trips to some of North America's
most spectacular slopes and beyond. These passions added vibrant
layers to his multifaceted life.
Allain is survived by his devoted wife, Joanne;
daughters: Dale Lamberton (Jeff) and Amy Smith (Kevin); son, Brian
Boudreau (Tracie); six brothers: Robert (Majella) of Shediac and Omer
all of Shediac, Clarence (Delcia) of Grand-Barachois, Hervé
(Patsy) and Eugène (Christal) all of Calgary and Henri
(Liane) of Ottawa; one brother in-law, Edouard Vautour of Dieppe; one
sister in-law, Émerise; a son in-law, Tomiko Smith; five
grandchildren: Chelsea, Isaiah, Alexis, Joaquin and Ellie; a godson,
Jason Cormier, as well as many nieces and
nephews.
He was predeceased by his father, Ola Boudreau; a
sister, Denise Vautour; a brother, Jacques Boudreau; a nephew, Mathieu
Vautour.
The family expresses gratitude
to the staff at the Extra-Mural Program, as well as the numerous
caring nurses and doctors who played a vital role in Allain's care
over the last 15 years. His legacy lives on in the hearts of those he
touched, and he will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege of
knowing him.
