Rita Williams, 99, of Saint-Antoine,
passed away surrounded by all her children, on Saturday January 20,
2024 at Foyer Saint-Antoine in Saint-Antoine. Born in Notre-Dame, she
was the daughter of the late Pierre (1969) and Olésine
(née Collette) Caissie (1969).
She was the last surviving member of
the Caissie family. She is survived by five daughters: Viola
Léger (late Roméo-2021), Violette Babineau
(Louis), Bernice LeBlanc (Yvon), Dianne Williams (Yvon Arsenault),
Gisèle; five sons: Paul (Bernadette), Raymond (Lucie),
Claude (Bernice), Freddy (Peggy), Daniel (Ping); as well as many
grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her husband
Irénée (2015) and two sons, Clarence (1965) and
Ronald (2017); five sisters: Edmée (2012), Zélia
(2005), Bertha (1993), Lorraine (1998), Thérèse
(2003); as well as six brothers: Edouard (1997), Joseph
«Jos» (1988), Edgar (2001), Gérard
(2003), Lionel (2005) and Aurèle (1969).
The family wishes to express their
sincere gratitude towards the staff of Foyer Saint-Antoine for their
professional and exceptional services provided to our mother during
her stay at the residence. The family members are all very
grateful.
There will be no visitation. The funeral mass will be
celebrated on Tuesday January 30, 2024 at 2 pm at Saint-Antoine
l’Ermite church, 20 avenue de l’Église,
followed by a reception at the Saint-Antoine Club
d’Âge d’Or, 11 rue
d’Âge d’Or in Saint-Antoine. Interment
will be in parish cemetery in the Spring. In memory of Rita, a
