It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Simonne Petitpas, 86, of Haute-Aboujagane on Saturday January 20, 2024, peacefully surrounded by her family at her residence. Born in Haute-Aboujagane, she was the daughter of the late Auguste and Bertha (Boudreau) Cormier.
She is survived by her seven children: Normand of Cap-Pelé, Donald (Lisa) of Haute-Aboujagane, Catherine Cormier (Richard) of Bas-Cap-Pelé, Angella Goguen (Paul) of Shediac, Roger, Yvon, and Guy all of Haute-Aboujagane; five sisters: Bernice Petitpas (late Alcide), Antoinette LeBlanc (Regis), Geraldine Belliveau (Yvon), Jeannette Ouellette (Cloris), and Juliette Boudreau (Coral) all of Haute-Aboujagane, 14 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren, as well as many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband Alyre Petitpas (2018) and one great-granddaughter, Kamille Cormier (2016).
The family would like to thank the staff of the Extra-Mural Program for their professional care and caregivers Janice, Denise, Sylvie, Maria, and her daughter, Angella.
The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, 396 Main Street, Shediac (506-532-3297) on Friday January from 2 to 6 pm only. The funeral service will be celebrated at Sacré-Coeur R.C. Church, 944 Route 933, Haute-Aboujagane on Saturday January 27 at 11 am. Interment will be in the parish cemetery.
In memory of Simonne, a contribution to the Pépère Boîte à Lunch ou cimetière Haute-Aboujagane would be appreciated.
