Albertine Leger, 71, of Shediac passed away suddenly at her home on Thursday January 11, 2024. She was the daughter of the late Edgar and Catherine (Boudreau) Vautour.

She was employed by the Glass Plant in the Scoudouc Industrial Park for 10 years and Milco Enterprise Inc in Scoudouc for 10 years. She volunteered at the St-Joseph R. C. Church; she was often seen with her brother Ovide walking Shediac’s Main Street; she enjoyed playing cards with her spouse in the last few years and having daily tea & talk times with friends.

Albertine is survived by her spouse of 50 years, Bernard; a daughter, Nathalie Ouellet (Jeremie LeBlanc) of Shediac; a son, Mario (Vicky) of Dieppe; five siblings: Lucille (Jean-Louis Cormier) of Saint-André-LeBlanc, Ovide of Shediac, Eloi (Ghislaine) (late Yvette) of Shediac, Bertin (Gisèle) of Cocagne and Bernadette (late Rhéal Doiron) of Shediac; a beloved granddaughter, Annie; two step grandchildren: Marika and Mikael; a sister-in-law, Edith Vautour, as well as several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by two siblings: infant Estelle and Jean-Paul.

The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, 396 Main Street, Shediac on Wednesday January 17 from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm only. The funeral will be celebrated at St-Joseph R. C. Church, 415 Main Street, Shediac on Thursday January 18 at 11 am. Interment will be in the St-Joseph parish cemetery, Shediac.

In memory of Albertine, a contribution to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, masses or the St-Joseph parish cemetery would be appreciated.
