Thérèse Anne Babineau, 93, of Dieppe, passed away on Friday December 29, 2023 at the Auberge du Soleil. Born in Moncton, she was the daughter of the late Camille and Délia (Cormier) Melanson.

Thérèse was a volunteer at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont hospital for 40 years.

She is survived by two daughters: Claudette Mills (late Daryl) and Lise Manuge, both of Dieppe; her five grandchildren: Sébastien, Luc, and Martin (Alfia) Mills, Louis Manuge (Rachel) and Gabriel Manuge (Samantha); her five great-grandchildren: Nicola, Eva, Sophie, David, and Ted; her sister Florence Carter, her brother Edouard Melanson, as well as several sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her husband, René (2020), and her daughter Monique (1956).

TThe family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, 88 Church Street, Moncton (506-858-1900) on Thursday February 1 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm only. The funeral mass will be celebrated at Sainte-Thérèse-de-l’Enfant-Jésus church, 457 Acadie Avenue, Dieppe on Friday February 2 at 11 am. Interment will be at Our Lady of Calvary cemetery in Dieppe. In her memory, Thérèse would have appreciated a donation to PAW (People for Animal Well-being) or the N.B.
