It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Albertine Leger, 83, surrounded by her loving family on Friday December 8, 2023 at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont UHC. Born in Cap-Pelé, she was the daughter of the late Edmund and Lumina (Richard) LeBlanc.

She is survived by her husband of 66 years, Dosithé Leger; four children: Odette Legere, Nicole LeBlanc (Raoul), Marcel Leger (Claudette) and Jacques Legere (Noëlla); three sisters: Délia Leger (Hervé), Marie-Mai Jacob and Andréa LeBlanc (Donald); three brothers: Ovila (Anita), Albert (Georgette) and Cloris; six grandchildren: Crystal, Jasmine, Céline, Véronique, Jérémie and Martin; five great-grandchildren: Alexandre, Jacob, Rosalie, Ellie and Alice; two sisters-in-law: Annette LeBlanc and Sara Vautour; as well as many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her siblings: Anne- Alice, Corinne, Thérèse, Léonie, Laurie, Émile, Réginald, Rhéa, Marie, Yvrette, Emery, Louis and Raymond.

The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, 2642 Acadie Road, Cap-Pelé on Thursday December 14 from 1 pm to 2:45 pm. Funeral mass will be celebrated at the Ste-Thérèse-d’Avila R. C. Church, 2648 Acadie Road, Cap-Pelé at 3 pm. Interment will be at Frenette Columbarium, Cap-Pelé. In memory of Albertine, a contribution the CHU Dumont Foundation (oncology) or a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated.
