Jeannette Richard, 81, of Dieppe,
passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Friday December 1, 2023
at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont UHC. Born in Scoudouc, she was the
daughter of the late Edouard and Rosée (Belliveau)
Bourque.
Prior to her retirement, Jeannette
worked in accounting for the Government of Canada. Her favourite
hobbies were traveling on bus tours, clogging and ceramic painting. A
dedicated volunteer, she had spent countless hours volunteering at the
Club d’Âge d’Or of Dieppe, the Capitol
Theatre and a nursing home in Dieppe. A great cook and hostess with an
exceptional joie de vivre, Jeannette was at her best when she was
surrounded by her precious family and friends. She will be remembered
by her contagious smile.
She is survived by one son, Michel
(Nathalie) of Moncton; daughter-in-law, Janice Richard of
Ste-Marie-de-Kent (late Serge); four grandchildren: Natacha (Doug),
Mélanie (Jamie), Tanya, and Jacob; two sisters: Yvette
Robillard (late Armand) and Huberte Richard (Roger), both of
Fitchburg, ME; one sister-in-law, Florence Bourque of Moncton (late
Valerie); as well as her nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband,
Maxime (2021); one son, Serge (2017); two sisters: Lucille (Guy) and
Marie (late Francis); and one brother, Valerie.
The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral and
Cremation Centre, 88 Church Street, Moncton (506-858-1900) where the
funeral service will be celebrated on Thursday December 14 at 11 am.
Visiting hours are Wednesday from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm only. The
funeral service will be streamed live; to view the funeral, go to

be in Frenette Columbarium in Moncton. In memory of Jeannette, a
contribution to the CHU Dumont Foundation would be
appreciated.
