Alphonse LeBlanc, 84, of Moncton, passed away on Monday December 4, 2023 at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont UHC.  Born in Shediac, he was the son of the late Edouard and Alma (Belliveau) LeBlanc.

Prior to his retirement, he was a meat manager/cutter at Dominion, Superstore and Richard Meat Market for over 40 years.

He is survived by two children: Denyse LeBlanc of Beresford and Roland (Annette) of Tantallon, NS; one granddaughter, Crystal (Joël Doucet) of Beresford; four great-grandchildren: Marie-Hélène, Sébastien, Zoey, and Tanya; four great-great-grandchildren: Alex, Kyran, Janelle, and Arielle; two siblings: Lucie Colucci (Frank) of Edmonton, AB, and Norbert "Bert" LeBlanc (Louise) of Wasa, BC; as well as many nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Estelle (2014); 14 siblings: Eugène, Edith, Emile, Albert, Joe, Paul-Édouard, Alphée, Léandre, Généva, and Lucien, as well as infants Généva, Eugène, George, and Camille.

The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to the doctors, nurses and support staff of Unit 4D at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont UHC for their wonderful care provided to Alphonse.

The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, 88 Church Street, Moncton (506-858-1900) where the funeral service will be celebrated on Saturday December 9 at 11 am. Visiting hours are Friday from 7 to 9 pm and Saturday from 10 am until time of funeral. The funeral service will be streamed live; to view the funeral, go to Alphonse’s obituary on the Frenette Website. Interment will be at Our Lady of Calvary cemetery in Dieppe. In memory of Alphonse, a contribution to the CHU Dumont Foundation (oncology) would be appreciated.
