Luc Daigle, 47, of Moncton, passed away on Saturday November 18, 2023 at his residence. Born in Moncton, he was the son of Rhéal and Rolande (Martin) Daigle of Baie-Sainte-Anne.

Luc was the manager of the parts department at Strongco Equipment. An 18 year dedicated baseball player in the region, Luc had been a team member of the Metro Mudcats, Newcastle Cardinals, Moncton Mets, Hub City Brewers, the Moncton Fisher Cats, and the Dieppe Cardinals. In 2017, Luc was inducted in the New Brunswick Baseball Hall of Fame for his participation with the 2006 Moncton Mets.

Besides his parents, he is survived by his wife, Marie Adèle MacArthur; two step-children: Zoë MacArthur and Thomas Oulton, both of Moncton; his sister, Danielle Daigle (René Bourque) of Calgary, AB; his brother, Edgar (Dallas) of Miramichi; his niece, Sara Bourque of Calgary; his nephew, Spencer Daigle of Miramichi; his aunts: Realdine (Yves), Liliane (Gerard), Zelma (Augustin), Janice (Ronald), and Ethel; his uncles: Gerald (Dorothy) and Roger; as well as cousins and friends.

The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, 88 Church Street, Moncton (506-858-1900) where the funeral will be celebrated on Friday November 24 at 1:30 pm. Visiting hours are Thursday from 6 to 8 pm only. Following the funeral service, family and friends are welcome at the Igloo Beverage Room on Elmwood Drive to celebrate the life of a great man. In memory of Luc, a contribution to the Field of Dreams Moncton would be appreciated.
