It is with
great sadness that we announce the passing of Chris Murphy, 49, of
Moncton, originally from Cap-Pelé, on Sunday October 29,
2023, at his residence. Born in Moncton, he was the son of Normand
Robichaud (Jacqueline) of Moncton and Beverly Melanson (Arthur) of
Dieppe.
Chris was
a hardworking carpenter and a passionate
musician.
He leaves
behind his two beloved children: Anthony Murphy of Cap-Pelé
and Emilie Murphy of Dieppe; mother of his children, Amanda Murphy,
his biological father, Michael "Mike" Murphy (Jan) of Timber
River, NB; seven siblings: Samuel (Angela) Robichaud of Halifax, NS,
Nadine Robichaud (Crystal Hutchison) and Melanie Robichaud-Godin
(Danny) both of Dieppe, Natasha Melanson (Paul Brun) of
Grand-Barachois, Cédric Robichaud of Shediac, Jacob Murphy
(Sarah) of Toronto, ON, and Ayden Murphy of Timber River, NB, as well
as many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and
cousins.
He is
predeceased by his maternal grandparents, Alfred and Eileen Doiron;
paternal grandparents: Clarence and Ethel Murphy and Zachary and Lina
Robichaud; one niece, Livia Godin.
The family
will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre,
2643 Acadie Road, Cap-Pelé (506-577-3297) on Thursday
November 2 from 7 to 9 pm and Friday from 9:15 am until time of
departure (10:15 am). The funeral mass will be celebrated at
Ste-Thérèse-d’Avila R.C. Church, 2648
Acadie Road, Cap-Pelé on Friday November 3 at
10:30 am. Interment will be in
Ste-Thérèse-d’Avila parish cemetery,
Cap-Pelé.
