It is with great
sadness that we announce the passing of Danika Zoé Maillet,
25, of Moncton and formerly of Shediac, on Monday October 23, 2023, at
her residence. Born in Moncton, she was the daughter of Serge Hector
Maillet (Lana) of Shediac and Diane LeBlanc Maillet (Raymond
Robichaud) of Shediac.
Danika had a mad
passion and Selfless concern for young people at risk. She made
& kept strong connections- people were drawn to
her.
You could count on her
day or night. She was your ride or die, your councillor, your friend,
your confident, how ever you needed her- she wanted to be
involved. She was brutally honest-compassionate- forgiving-
and was driven to help everyone she came in contact
with.
Helping people gave
her the strength to continue to believe in herself.
Besides her parents,
she is survived by a brother, Samuel Maillet (Renée) of
Haute-Aboujagane; a sister, Chloé Maillet of Shediac; a
stepsister, Laura Robichaud of Tracadie; a stepbrother, Luc-Olivier
Robichaud of Tracadie; paternal grandparents, Hector and
Andréa Maillet of Shediac; maternal grandmother,
Léona LeBlanc of Shediac; step-grandparents, Danny and July
Desruisseau.
She was predeceased by
her maternal grandfather, Laurie LeBlanc.
