At the Dr. Georges L. Dumont Hospital, on September 21,
2023, Jean-Loup Guérin passed away peacefully. His wife of
42 years, Stella Boudreau, was at his bedside during his final
days.
Jean-Loup was born in Cepoy, France to the late
André Guérin, his father, and the late Simone
Chenal, his mother.
He leaves to mourn his son Paul Anderson (Liz
Wunderlich), his daughter Tania Anderson, and his grandchildren, Henry
and Katarina (Katie) as well as nephews, nieces, cousins,
brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law and many of
friends.
He is also predeceased by two of his daughters, Pamela
and Sylvie, as well as his sisters: Nicole, Françoise and
Martine.
Arriving in Canada in 1960 at the age of 27, Jean-Loup
worked in the hotel industry in Montreal, then went to the United
States, in the food service for hospitals. He opted to return to
Canada in 1970 in the nursing home food service field. In 1983, he
took up residence in Barachois, New Brunswick. For 15 years, he was
the administrator of the Kinsman nursing home in
Moncton.
In addition to his knowledge of food and management,
Jean-Loup has written and published two books. He was also a painter
and a sculptor. Jean-Loup is a veteran of the war in
Morocco.
The family will receive relatives and friends on
Sunday, September 24 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and from 7:00 p.m. to
9:00 p.m. The funeral mass will take place on September 25 at the
St-Henri Church in Grand-Barachois at 10:30 a.m. The funeral will be

at the end of the day.
