Victor Bourque, 88, formerly of Grand-Barachois, passed away at O’Bons Soins on Thursday, August 3, 2023. He was the son of the late Maurice and Lucilda (Leger) Bourque.
Victor was a School Transport Officer before his retirement. Along with Germaine, he loved to travel, dance, hunt, camp, fish and go boating. He had a zest for life and was very proud of his large family.
He is survived by his children: Charline Gautreau (Paul), Benoite Landry (Roland), Donna LeBlanc (Jacques), Michel (Lynn) and Pat (Brigitte) all of Grand-Barachois, Janice Boudreau (Guy) of Trois-Ruisseaux, and Suzanne Robichaud (Marc) of Shediac, a special friend Cécile Vienneau; 13 grandchildren: Christine, Renée, Nadine, Joël, Alain, Suzie, Germain, Julien, Véronique, Christian, Samuel, Félix and Zacharie; 11 great-grandchildren: Raphaëlle, Gino, Simon, Mylène, Sophie, Maxime, Olivier, Gabriel, Audrée, Mikael, and Luca; his brothers and sisters: Claudette from Shediac, Joe, Marie-May, Jacynthe, Diane, André all from Grand-Barachois, Roberte from Cap-Pelé, and Fernande from Moncton, as well as several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his wife, Germaine (2016); his brothers: Ronald, Roger, Arthur, Alcide, and Irois.
The family would like to thank the staff at O’Bons Soins, especially Nathalie and the Extra-Mural, for their excellent care.
The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, 396 Main Street, Shediac on Monday, August 7, from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 7 to 9 p.m. only. The funeral will be celebrated at St-Henri de Barachois Church, 1356, route 133, Grand-Barachois on Tuesday August 8 at 10:30 a.m.
Interment will be in the parish cemetery of St-Henri de Barachois, Grand-Barachois.
