Glenn Feltmate, 66, of Dieppe, passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of his family on Wednesday August 2, 2023 at The Moncton Hospital. Born in Yarmouth, NS, he was the son of the late Donald and Vera (Lambert) Feltmate.

Glenn worked in the fishing industry.  During his career, he worked for United Maritime Fishermen in Moncton and Dartmouth, the Barry Group in Corner Brook, NL, and Trinav Fisheries Consultants in St. John’s, NL, as well as short terms with other seafood companies before starting his own consulting company, Donver Ocean Resources Ltd.

Outside of work, Glenn was always busy organizing and participating in weekend or weeks long activities and trips with friends and family, doing yard work, woodworking, mountain biking or any other activity he found interesting. During his time in Corner Brook, he became very involved in the ski patrol and eventually became Leader and Education Officer at Marble Mountain.  Glenn took great pride in the role he played in bringing the 2004 World Broomball Championships to Corner Brook. Later in life, Glenn became an avid golfer and loved spending time on different courses with his friends Joe, Lionel and Eugene.  Glenn was a lot of things to a lot of people but the thing that brought him the most joy was spending time with his grandchildren. He loved being in the role of Gragra and influencing their taste in music by having dance parties to ACDC.

He will be sadly missed by his loving wife for 37 years, Denise (Babineau); his precious daughter, Angela MacNeil (Matthew) of Enfield, NS; and was Gragra to three cherished grandchildren: Clarke, Tommy and Vera; two sisters: Edith Conrod (late Robert "Bob") and Lisa Feltmate, both of Dartmouth, NS; one brother, James "Jim" (Kathleen) of Fredericton; as well as several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, 88 Church Street, Moncton (506-858-1900) on Tuesday August 8 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm only. There will be no funeral service. In memory of Glenn, a contribution to the Brain Tumour Foundation of Canada (www.braintumour.ca) would be appreciated.
