It is with a heavy heart we announce the tragic passing of Jason Fougère, 35, of Shediac due to a motorcycle accident on Saturday July 8, 2023. Born in Moncton, he was the son of Diane (Bourque) Fougère (Paul-Émile) and the late Ronald "Chameau" Fougère. He was employed with East Coast Sports Marine.
Besides his mother, who he worshiped, he is survived by a son, Zack, who he adored and made many memories, and shared his passion for trucks and bikes; his special friend, Fanny Melanson, who shared Jason’s zest and desire for adventure and challenging experiences for the past 4 years; one sister, Brigitte Fougère (Pablo), who was his anchor and best friend; a special niece, Danika Fougère (Cody), which had a special bond that could not be broken and always looking out for her; the mother of his son, Holly LeBlanc, who was still part of his life; very special godmother, Joanne, that he cherished and leaned on, she was his rock, as well as several aunts, uncles, cousins, and lots of friends. Jason shared many memories with all his friends especially his childhood friend, Pierre LeBlanc.
The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, 396 Main Street, Shediac (506-532-3297) on Wednesday July 12 from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm and Thursday from 10 am until time of departure (10:45 am). The funeral mass will be celebrated at St-Joseph R.C. Church, 415 Main Street, Shediac on Thursday July 13 at 11 am. Shediac. The funeral mass will be videotaped, and the video will be available on his obituary on our website at the end of the day. Interment will be at Frenette Columbarium.
In memory of Jason, a contribution to the education of his son, Zack, would be appreciated.
