Elvira Mangabay, 68, of Philippines, passed away at the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont UHC on Wednesday, June 14th, 2023. Born in Paniqui, Tarlac, Philippines, she was the daughter of Simeon and Gregoria (Pascual) Pontila. Elvira was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
She is survived by her three children: Marjorie LeBlanc (Michel), Sherwin Mangabay (Erlinda), and Dexter Mangabay (Sheree Mae); eight grandchildren: Patrick, Megan, Sherlyn, Sapphire, Skye, Shaye, Mark James, and Hendrix.
Elvira was predeceased by her husband Pedro and several brothers and sisters.
The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, 396 Main Street, Shediac, where a chapel service will be held on Tuesday, June 20th at 1 pm. Visitation will be from 11 am to 12:45 pm. The funeral will be live streamed on Elvira’s obituary on our website at www.frenettefuneralhome.com.
