Monique Thebeau, 54, of Moncton, passed away peacefully at The Moncton Hospital on Monday June 5, 2023 surrounded by her family. Born in Moncton, she was the daughter of the late Joe and Margaret (Goguen) Thebeau.

Monique was kind-hearted, loving and caring, and she always went the extra mile to help anyone out whenever she could. She liked spending time with family and friends, watching movies, driving around and listening to music, and traveling.

Monique will be missed by her life partner, Michel Gallant; three children: Sonya Thebeau (Aaron Meunier) of Moncton, Carrie Gallant Paulin of Québec, and Cody Gallant Pluim of Ontario; her bonus daughter, Fantasia Landry; four grandchildren: Oceanne, Kessy, Felix, and Randy; six siblings: Wilma Burt (Tom Warner) of Moncton, Vincent Martin, Jacqueline Martin Johnson, and Claudette Martin , all of British Columbia, Edgar Martin of Québec, and Joanne Thebeau of Moncton; her in-law family: Jeannine Gallant (late Frank Fougère), Norbert Gallant (late Diane) and Marcel Gallant (Tracey); as well as several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by one daughter, Chrystal Gallant Paulin; one sister, Ester Martin Gallant; two brothers: Roger Edgar Martin and Joseph Junior Thebeau.

The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, 88 Church Street, Moncton (506-858-1900) on Monday June 12 from 12 pm noon until time of departure (1:45). The funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Augustine’s Roman Catholic church, 340 Dominion Street, Moncton on Monday June 12 at 2 pm. Interment will be at Saint-Joseph cemetery in Shediac. In memory of Monique, a contribution to the Lung Association would be appreciated.
