Jean-Paul Roy, 79, formerly of Montréal, QC,
passed away on Wednesday May 10, 2023 at the Villa Providence in
Shediac. Born in Kedgwick, he was the son of the late
Réginald and Georgette (Dion) Roy.
He is survived by one son, Rino of Moncton; one grandson,
Éric; four sisters: Germaine (Roy) Castonguay of
Connecticut, Louise Roy of Ottawa, Solange (Roy) Bouthet (Gerry) of
Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, and Denise (Roy) Coulson of Texas; three
brothers: Gilles Roy, Charles Roy (Cécile) of St-Hubert,
QC, and Romaric Roy of Notre-Dame-de-Lourdes; six half-sisters:
Marguerite Sullivan (Denis Dugas) of Saint-Quentin, Joyce Sullivan
(late Jacques Thibault) of Kedgwick, Suzanne Sullivan (Roger) of
Saint-Quentin, Rachel (Roy) LeBlanc of Dieppe, Nicole (Roy)
Aubé and Danielle Roy, both of New Brunswick; three
half-brothers: Donald Sullivan (Suzanne) of Saint-Quentin, Daniel
Sullivan of Bathurst, and Johnny Sullivan of Kedgwick; one
half-sister-in-law, Louise Basinet (late Patrick) of Kedgwick; as well
as several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Blanche
LeBlanc of Rogersville; one son, Louis; one half-sister, Suzanne Roy;
and one half-brother, Patrick Sullivan.
In accordance with his wishes, there will be no visitation
and no funeral service. Interment will be in Rogersville parish
cemetery. Funeral arrangements are in the professional care of
Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, Moncton
(858-1900).
