Laurenza LeBlanc, 98, of Westford Nursing Home in Port Elgin and formerly of Cap-Pelé, passed away on Tuesday May 9, 2023 at her residence. Born in Cormier Village, she was the daughter of the late Alfred and Alma (Robichaud) Cormier.
She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

Before her retirement, she worked at her family farm and Canada Post. Laurenza loved working in her garden and tending to her flowers.

She is survived by one daughter, Alma LeBlanc (Léonard) of Waltham, MA; three sons: Yvon (Jeanne) of Shediac and Alfred (Norma) both of Shediac, and Louis (Jeanne) of Haute-Aboujagane; 11 grandchildren: Ronald, Serge, Nathalie, Paula, Germain, Fabien, Danny, Bobby, Shawn, Mathieu, and Julie; 12 great-grandchildren, a daughter-in-law, Nicole Forest (late Roméo), as well as several nieces and nephews.

She is predeceased by her husband, Raymond; one son, Roméo; three daughters in-law: Aurèla Vienneau, Angela LeBlanc, and Odette LeBlanc; one son in-law, Norbert LeBlanc, as well as many adoptive brothers and sisters.

The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, 2642 Acadie Road, Cap-Pelé on Sunday May 14 from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm and Monday from 10:00 am until time of departure (10:45 am). The funeral mass will be celebrated at Ste-Thérèse-d’Avila R.C. Church, 2648 Acadie Road, Cap-Pelé on Monday May 15 at 11:00 am. Interment will be Ste-Thérèse-d’Avila cemetery in Cap-Pelé.
