Lina Gagnon, 88, of Moncton, passed away on Monday May 1, 2023 at her residence. Born in Memramcook, she was the daughter of the late Honoré and Dométhilde (Cormier) Cormier.

Lina, in her younger years, worked at a bakery.  Later, being a person who always wanted to help others, she then worked at a private senior home where she found fulfillment.  She had found her passion. She loved line dancing as well as playing her guitar and singing.

She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Roger; two daughters: Gloria Davis (Bob) of Spokane, Washington, and Alice Matchett of Calgary, AB; four grandchildren: Timothy, Cody, Travis, and Ryan; several great-grandchildren; one sister, Louise LeBlanc (late Harvey) of Memramcook; one brother, Alfred (late Aurise) of Dieppe; as well as several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by four sisters: Marguerite, Dorice, Maria, and Léona; and two brothers: Arthur and Alyre.

The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude towards the nurses of the Extra Mural for their wonderful care provided to Lina.

The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, 88 Church Street, Moncton (858-1900) where the funeral will be celebrated on Friday May 5 at 11 am. Visiting hours are Friday from 10 am until time of funeral. Interment will be at Our Lady of Calvary cemetery in Dieppe. In memory of Lina, a contribution to the CHU Dumont Foundation (Pulmonary Unit) would be appreciated.
