It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Laura (nee Nadeau) Murray on April 23, 2023 at The Moncton Hospital at the age of 78 years old.  She passed away peacefully surrounded by her family. Born in Campbellton, NB, she was the daughter of the late Bélonie "Ben" and Gertrude (Nolan) Nadeau.

Laura will be sadly missed by her husband of 57 years, Bryce; daughters: Cindy Murray and Lisa Murray, both of Dieppe; her grandchildren: Mathieu Doiron and Stéphanie Doiron; her siblings: Guy Nadeau (late Jeannine) and (Pierrette) of Dieppe, Jacques Nadeau of Québec, QC, Bernadette Coulombe (Gilles) of Gaspé, QC, and Cécile LeBlanc (Camille) of Dundee; as well as her dear friends, and several nieces, nephews, sisters and brothers-in-law.

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by two brothers: Raymond Nadeau and Rodolphe Nadeau.

Laura was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She loved her family very much and her grandchildren Mathieu and Stéphanie were the apple of her eye and often referred to them as «ses petits cœurs d’argent d’amour».  She was a positive, courageous, strong, selfless woman who had an infectious smile and a great sense of humour. She was a long-time employee of the Bank of Commerce (CIBC) in Campbellton and also worked as a bookkeeper for her family‘s small businesses. She loved working with numbers and was particularly proud of always "balancing her books".

The family wishes to thank the wonderful team at the ICU unit at The Moncton Hospital.

Respecting the wishes of Mrs. Laura Murray and her family, there will be no funeral/mass or visitations. A graveside ceremony will be held at a later date. Donations in her name can be made to the Friends of The Moncton Hospital Foundation (pulmonary) or the Lung Association (research) and would greatly be appreciated. Funeral arrangements are in the professional care of Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, Moncton (858-1900).

Words of comfort and donations may be made at www.frenettefuneralhome.com
