Peter Laube, 83, of Moncton, passed away on Thursday February 23, 2023 at the Villa du Repos. Born in Celle, Germany, he was the son of the late Heinrich Kurt Laube and Anselma Schindler.

Prior to his retirement, Peter worked as a carpenter.

He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Ida (Williams); three step-children: Debbie Richard (Omer) of Stoney Plain, AB, Hanford Ibbitson (Diana) of Sackville, and Tina Whalen (Dave) of Aurora, Colorado, US; two sons: Raymond of Fort Saskatchewan, AB, and Peter Jr. (Helen) of Cambridge Bay, NV; his grandchildren and great-grandchildren; one sister, Marliss Laube (Horst) of Celle, Germany; one brother, Rolf (Rita) of Celle, Germany; as well as his nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by one sister, Celle Laube; and one step-grandson.

As per his wishes, there will be no visitation and no funeral service. In memory of Peter, a contribution to Canadian Cancer Society or to a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated. Funeral arrangements are in the professional care of Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, Moncton (858-1900).
