Adolphe Chevarie, 89, of Moncton, passed away on Saturday February 25, 2023 at the Hospice SENB Albert House. Born in Saint-Charles, he was the son of the late Ernest and Ida (Chevarie) Chevarie.

Adolphe retired as shop foreman for the City of Moncton in 1993. All who knew him had great respect for him. He was kind, caring and cherished all of his children and grandchildren. He loved his cars and enjoyed many cottage happy hours with family. He also volunteered at Red Cross delivering meals on wheels with his wife Jeannette for nearly 20 years.

Adolphe will be sadly missed by his wife of 62 years, Jeannette (Chevarie); three children: Camille (Connie), Rachelle (Alvin), and Marc (Claire); nine grandchildren: Matthew, Justin, Luc, Mélanie, Alexandre, Stéphanie, Isabelle, Miguel, and Nicholas; five great-grandchildren: Joëlle, Jovie, Oli, Jasper, and Layla; six sisters: Ella Maillet (late Aldéric), Maria Vautour (late Adolphe), Marguerite Johnson (Elide), Germaine Vautour (René), Yvette Maillet (Jean Daigle), and Claire McPherson (late Buddy); three brothers: Marcel, Ronald (late Jeannette), and Ernest (Angèle); as well as several nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by four siblings: Léo, Elsie, Gérald, and Noëlla; one brother-in-law, Médard Maillet.

The family would like to thank the caring staff at both Dr-Georges-L.-Dumont UHC and Albert House.

The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, 88 Church Street, Moncton (506-858-1900) where the funeral service will be celebrated on Thursday March 2 at 10:30 am. Visiting hours are Wednesday March 1 from 6 to 8 pm and Thursday from 9:30 am until time of funeral. Interment will be in Saint-Charles parish cemetery. In memory of Adolphe, a contribution to Hospice SENB (Albert House) would be appreciated.
