Simon Potvin, 20, of Dieppe, passed away on Saturday February 11, 2023 following a motor vehicle accident. Born in Gatineau, Qué., he was the son of Isabelle Connolly (Jean-Guy Richard) of Dieppe and Sébastien Potvin (Vicky Desrochers) of Gatineau, Qué.

A graduate of École Mathieu-Martin, Simon worked for Ashford Properties. Since he was very young, he loved playing hockey and baseball with his twin and his friends under the wing of Jean-Guy. He was particularly proud of the purchase of his four-wheeler.

Besides his parents, he is survived by one brother, Olivier (Monica LeBlanc) at home; three step-sisters: Joline Plante (Jonathan), Jacynthe Cormier (Serge), both of Dieppe, and Coralie Lemieux of Gatineau; his maternal grandparents, Arcade and Ghislaine Connolly of Dieppe; his paternal grandmother, Laurette Potvin of Gatineau, Qué.; his paternal step-grandparents: Roméo and Roberta Gautreau, and Armand Richard of Dieppe; his aunt who had a special place in Simon’s heart, Rita "Tita" Potvin of Gatineau, Qué.; as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, 88 Church Street, Moncton (506-858-1900) where the funeral service will be celebrated on Thursday February 16 at 11 am. Visiting hours are Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm only. The funeral service will be streamed live; to view the funeral, go to his obituary on our Website. In memory of Simon, a contribution to Portage Atlantic (506-839-1200 - www.portage.ca) would be appreciated.
