Géraldine Page, 99, of Moncton and formerly of Grand Falls, passed away on Tuesday February 7, 2023 at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont UHC. Born in Saint-André (Madawaska), she was the daughter of Alphée Poitras (1987) and Memory Levesque (1977).

Géraldine had a passion for teaching and her students from Sacré-Coeur school in Grand Falls still remembered her with a deep attachment when their lives intersected with hers over the years. Gifted with a great sense of humour and a sweet tooth, she enjoyed traveling and spending time with her family.

She is survived by her children: Reine (Gérald Cormier), Lise (Roch Rivard), Angelo (late Joanne Shannon) and Marius (Angela Wilson); her grandchildren: Christian, Alain, Marc-André, Jocelyn, Jean-Marc, Eric, Rico, Melissa, Trevor, Candace and Michael; as well as 11 great-grandchildren; one sister, Dorilla "Bleue" Laforge; one sister-in-law, Délécie Theriault; one brother-in-law, Wilmer Page (Sadie); as well as her nieces and nephews.

She will join in the afterlife her late husband, Ephrem Page (1991); her daughter, Rinette (2017); four sisters: Jeannine, Stella, Imelda and Pauline; and a brother, Olidor "Cas."

A Celebration of Life will take place at St. Andrews Presbyterian Church, 77 Hildergard Drive, Moncton, on Saturday July 8 at 1 pm. Interment will be at Assomption cemetery, 368 Portage Road, Grand Falls, on Monday July 10 at 11 am. In memory of Géraldine, a contribution to a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated. Funeral arrangements are in the professional care of Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, Moncton (858-1900).
