Roger Robichaud, 88, of McKees Mills, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Tuesday February 7, 2023 at the Stella-Maris-de-Kent Hospital in Sainte-Anne-de-Kent. Born in Saint-Paul, he was the third child born to the late Antoine and Anna (Richard) Robichaud and was predeceased by his wife of 57 years, Claire (Ladouceur).

Roger was the deeply loved partner of Geraldine Robichaud Leger, and world's greatest Dad to Norm (Karen) and Michelle (Eric); super grandfather to Nick and Luna, and grand-pepere to Adele, Blair, and Lyanna; best brother to Jeannine (late Roger, special friend Omer), Rita (Archille), late Ulysse, and late Geraldine (Robert); loving adopted stepdad to Phyllis (Kenny), Jean (Gisele), Paul (Jennifer), Roger, Marie-Paul (Yvon), Lucille (Claude), Adrienne Allain (Rhéal), and their families; loyal ami to his many cousins, favourite uncle to numerous nieces and nephews, and tremendous friend to all. He was so well respected and caring that it is impossible to name all those whose lives he touched.

Like many at the time, he left home to make his fortune in Ontario. He became a window washer and eventually owned his own business, all the while working for Rodger's Maintenance out of Toronto. He was so fast and unafraid of heights that his coworkers nicknamed him "Jet".

After years in Scarborough/Oshawa and a short time in Moncton, Roger and Claire moved to Ottawa to be close to their daughter, Michelle. Roger was a devoted husband and caregiver to his wife until her death in 2015.

Roger met Geraldine in 2017, and it was love at first sight. They were inseparable ever since, with one final move for Roger from Ottawa to Saint-Antoine so that they could be together. He often said how happy he was in this final phase of his life.

Roger left laughter and love in his wake wherever he went, and will be sorely missed. Roger, we love you. Rest in peace in heaven.

The family would like to thank the nurses, doctors, and staff at Stella-Maris hospital for their exceptional care during the last month of Roger's life. Please consider donations to the palliative care services of Stella-Maris-de-Kent Hospital in Roger's name.

The family will receive condolences at Saint-Paul-de-Kent R.C. Church, 6476, Route 515 in Saint-Paul-de-Kent where the funeral mass will be celebrated on Monday February 13 at 2 pm. Visiting hours are Monday from 1 pm until time of funeral. The funeral mass will be videotaped, and the video will be available on his obituary on our Website at the end of the day. Interment will be in the parish cemetery in the Spring. Funeral arrangements are in the professional care of Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, Moncton (858-1900).
