Claude LeBlanc, 57, of Dieppe, passed away
peacefully on Monday January 30, 2023 at his residence. Born in
Moncton, he was raised in Saint-Louis by his maternal grandmother, the
late Olézine Babineau, and was the son of the late Albert
and Marie-Anne (Babineau) LeBlanc.
Claude worked as the Controller at Shediac Lobster Shop
and valued the friendship from the owner Gilles Maillet over his time
there. Claude enjoyed playing cards. He especially
enjoyed the card games that he had with his family over the past
year.
Claude is survived by the love of his life, his wife of
21 years, Annette Comfort; nine siblings: Jeanne d’Arc
Renton (Brent) of Shediac Bridge, Vincent LeBlanc (Yvonne) of Sussex,
Alberte Richard (Raymond) of Saint-Louis, Marielle LeBlanc (Jack
Morley) of Dieppe, Louis of Saint-Louis, Jean (Lisa) of Saint-Charles,
Lise LeBlanc (Jean-Paul Mazerolle) and Lisette LeBlanc (Dave Cormier),
both of Aldouane, and Pierre LeBlanc (Judith) of Québec; as
well as many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and
friends. Claude will be especially missed by his cousin
Daniel Babineau, and his long-time best friend Ola Cormier, both of
whom hold a special place in Claude’s
heart.
The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral
and Cremation Centre, 88 Church Street, Moncton (506-858-1900) where
the funeral service will be celebrated on Thursday February 2 at 11
am. Visiting hours are on Thursday from 9 am until time of funeral.
The funeral service will be streamed live; to view the funeral, go to
his obituary on our Website. Interment will be at St.
Patrick’s cemetery in Miramichi. In memory of Claude, a
contribution to the N.B. Heart and Stroke Foundation, the CHU Dumont
Foundation or to the Kidney Foundation would be
appreciated.
