Yvonne Lorette, 98, of Shediac, passed away at the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont UHC on Thursday, January 19th, 2023. Born in Haute-Aboujagane, she was the daughter of the late Blaire and Alina (LeBlanc) Boudreau. She was the last surviving sibling of eight children.

A stay-at-home Mom, Yvonne cherished her family and her many friends. Her door was always open.  She loved to cook, bake, and garden, and she fed everyone who came to visit. Grocery shopping always took longer than expected as these trips often became social events, stopping to talk to friends and family alike.

Yvonne is survived by her daughter, Annette Lorette (Craig Sturge) of Massachusetts and two sons: Allan and John both of Ontario; two grandchildren: Sarah and Connor and many nieces and nephews including a special niece, Betty Ann Gallant.

The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, 396 Main Street, Shediac on Wednesday, January 25th from 7 pm to 9 pm only. The funeral will be celebrated at St. Joseph R. C. Church, 415 Main Street, Shediac on Thursday, January 26th at 11 am.

Yvonne was predeceased by her husband, Gurney Lorette; two sisters: Jeannine Lorette and Catherine Vautour; five brothers: Oswald, Henri, Edvin, Omer, and Camille.

Yvonne’s family wish to express their appreciation and gratitude to the staff and friends at Manoir Pascal-Poirier for making her final years enjoyable and comfortable.

In memory of Yvonne, in lieu of flowers, a donation to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.

Funeral arrangements are in the professional care of Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, Shediac (532-3297).
