Edwin LeBlanc, 87, of Résidence O’ Bon
Soins, passed away on Saturday December 24, 2022, at his residence.
Born in Barachois, he was the son of the late Edée and
Lucie (Leger) LeBlanc.
Edwin worked for 37 years at CNR as a railroad maintenance
technician. After retirement, Edwin and his wife Anita enjoyed
traveling throughout Canada and the United States. They shared a great
life together and were inseparable.
Edwin will be greatly missed by his family and loved ones. He
was a man of few words but was cherished by many for his kind spirit
and great sense of humour.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Anita (Cormier); two
sisters-in-law: Géraldine LeBlanc and Olga LeBlanc; as well
as many nieces and nephews. He was the last surviving member of his
immediate family.
Edwin was predeceased by four sisters: Albertine,
Léona, Florida and Alma; as well as five brothers: Joseph,
Henri, Valérie, Gilbert and
Émile.
The family wishes to thank the staff at Résidence
O’Bon Soins and Shediac extra-mural, especially Martine
Turmel, for taking great care of Edwin.
The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral and
Cremation Centre, 396 Main Street, Shediac on Thursday December 29
from 6pm to 9pm only. The funeral mass will be celebrated at St.
Joseph R. C. Church, 415 Main Street, Shediac on Friday December 30 at
2 p.m. Interment will be at Frenette Columbarium. In
memory of Edwin, a contribution to a charity of the donor’s
choice would be appreciated.
