Dorothy Leger, 85, of Pointe-du-Chêne, passed away at her residence surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday, December 20th, 2022. Born in Pointe-du-Chêne, she was the daughter of the late Patrice and Agnes (Martin) Petitpas.
She is survived by her four children: Larry (Maria) of Shediac, Carol Zwicker (Doug) of Kingston ON, Maria Leger Massiera (Pascal) of Pointe-du-Chêne, and Raymond of MacDougall Settlement; one brother, Donald Petitpas (Murielle) of BC; four grandchildren: Natalie Leger, Patrick Zwicker, Ashley Moores, and Nathan Landry; six great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband, Gerald (2015) and her brothers and sisters: Patsy Paynter, Jean Fougere, Benoit Petitpas, Bertha Fougere, and Leo Petitpas.
As per her wishes, there will be no visitation. The funeral mass will be celebrated at the Our Lady of Mercy R. C. Church, 11 St. Andrews Street, Pointe-du-Chêne, on Thursday, December 29th at 11 am.
In memory of Dorothy, a contribution to a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated.
