Thérèse Marie Martin, 60, of Dieppe, passed away on Monday December 12, 2022. Born in Moncton, she was the daughter of the late Edouard Martin and Ida (Gallant) Martin.

Thérèse loved taking care of others and this beautiful quality made her a perfect caregiver at the Alouette Special Care Home. This was her dream job and she was loved by the residents and staff. A very generous and giving person, she was kind, thoughtful and empathetic. She always thought positively of others.

She created such beautiful crafts and it made her happy to share them with her loved ones. Not having any grandchildren, she loved spoiling her great-nephew Kingsley and her great-niece Kamila.

She is survived by her common-law husband, Maurice Cormier; two sons:  Matthew "Matt" Cormier of Moncton and Michel "Mike" Cormier of Dieppe; brothers: Roger Martin of Moncton and Ron Martin (Gabrielle) of Shediac; sisters: Jeannette Martin and Jeannine  Martin (Marcel) both of Grande Prairie, AB, and Rose-Marie  Bonnell (John) of Fredericton; brother-in-law Amédée Cormier (Joan) of Moncton; sister-in-law, Sylvia (Paul) of Moncton; several nephews and nieces, great-nephew and great-nieces; uncles, aunts, and cousins.

She was predeceased by her parents: Edouard and Ida Martin; her parents-in-law, Gerard and Éveline Cormier; and her brother-in-law, Eric Cormier.

The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, 88 Church Street, Moncton (858-1900) on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm only. In memory of Thérèse, a contribution to a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated.
