Diana Cormier, 96, of Shediac and formerly of Cap-Pelé, passed away on Saturday December 3, 2022, at the Villa Providence. Born in Cap-Pelé, she was the daughter of the late François and Delphine (Melanson) Landry.

She will be sadly missed by two daughters: Odette Cormier (Lina) of Shediac and Bernice Melanson (Bernie) of Boudreau Office; five sons: Yvon (late Suzanne) of Toronto, ON, Ronald (late Stella) of Moncton, Roger (Nicole) of Dieppe, Léo (Lisa Allain) of Shediac and Maurice (Annie Landry) of Shediac Bridge; one brother, François (Florence) of Cap-Pelé; 11 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren, as well as many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her husband, Léo (2015); one son, Alcide; 12 siblings: Marguerite Duguay, Bertha Leger, Alice Ouellette, Antoinine Melanson, Dorine LeBlanc, Dora Doiron, Geneva LeBlanc, Delphina Bourgeois, Adelard, Edgar, Alderic, Gonzagne.

The family would like to thank the staff at the Villa Providence for the excellent care given to Diana during her time there.

The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, 396 Main Street, Shediac (532-3297) where the funeral service will be celebrated on Wednesday December 7 at 2 pm. Visiting hours are Wednesday from 12:30 pm until time of funeral. Face covering is strongly recommended. Interment will be in the Ste-Thérèse-d’Avila cemetery in Cap-Pelé.

In memory of Diane, a contribution to Activity Department at the Villa Providence would be appreciated. Cremation and funeral arrangements are under the direction of Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, Shediac (532-3297).
