Edna Cormier, 99, of Moncton passed away on Monday November 21, 2022 at the Villa du Repos. Born in Adamsville, she was the daughter of the late Bélonie and Azélie (Arsenault) Bernard.

She is survived by one son, Paul (Wanda) of Prince George, BC; one son-in-law, Glen Nelson (Annette) of Moncton; three grandchildren: Jennifer (Sarit), Jason and Jessica (Luca); five great-grandchildren: Rylan, Keiland, Acacia, Maeva, and Hadley; two sisters: Louise Roy (Clifford) of Moncton and Rita Bastarache (Léo) of Adamsville; as well as several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her husband, Eugène (2009); her daughter, Anne Nelson (2017); her siblings: François Poirier (Yvonne), Yvonne, Alcide (Audrey), Albert (Della), Marie, Robert (Mary), as well as infants Armand and Edmond.

The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, 88 Church Street, Moncton (858-1900) on Friday from 2 to 4 pm only. The funeral mass will be celebrated at Notre-Dame-de-Grâce Roman Catholic Church, 858 Mountain Road, Moncton on Saturday November 26 at 11 am. A reception will follow at Frenette Funeral Centre. Interment will be in Adamsville. In memory of Edna, a contribution to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Villa du Repos (Activities) would be appreciated.
